Studio 5 will be shaped by regular, on-going routines that are designed so students can develop their independence.
Routine #1 – Mindfulness
Each day in Studio 5 begins by students and teachers getting into a calm, purposeful and intentional mood. Teachers and students may also make the decision to use mindfulness strategies at other times too.
Routine #2 – “C.A.R. Time”
C.A.R. Time takes place at the beginning and end of every school day. In groups of around 10 students plus an Adviser, the Action Cycle is used to plan each school day. Students will set priorities with The Moscow Method and then reflect to see:
- what they have achieved or not achieved
- the factors that caused success or failure
- what they should do next
